HAVING read the page of letters on David Dunn's move to Birmingham (LET, July 4) I'm surprised that people can be so naive as to think it's anything to do with his relationship with Graeme Souness.
This transfer is all about money and nothing else. Dunny hasn't asked for a transfer, so he gets 10 per cent signing-on fee (£500,000) plus a hefty pay rise.
He's a mercenary like everyone else. Never mind kissing the badge, and saying he's a Rovers fan, this is purely financial.
