PLANNING applications have been received for a proposed dormer extension at 34 Buttermere Road; a proposed two storey extension at 137 Brownside Road.
The plans can be inspected at Burnley Borough Council's Planning Department in Parker Lane.
THE fee for St John's Church choir to sing at weddings has been increased to £45.
BROWNIES have now finished for the summer holidays, their final meeting was a picnic at Towneley. Meetings recommence on August 21st.
WORSTHORNE Art and Craft Fair runs from the preview night on 1st August until Sunday 10th August and will be open from 2pm to 8.30pm daily. On the Saturday and Sunday afternoon of the first weekend a Fire Appliance from Burnley Fire Station will be stationed in the village for inspection.
THE Men's Group have increased their membership fee to £10 plus £1 per meeting to help defray the cost of the donation made to speakers. The group is open to all residents and meets in the Church rooms. The next meeting is in October.
THE Reading Rooms can be hired for parties, meetings, etc., for £10 per session. More information from Mrs. Frost on 414533.
