The letter in last months Dear Massi from the woman who felt let down because her husband spent all his time out of the house made me think.
I too had a similar problem when I was newly married and I felt so ignored. It can really get a woman down and men just don't seem to understand it, especially in our culture. They think it's not a big issue and feel you should put up with things because members of their own family do.
This is especially so when you move in to a new town. I would urge her not to despair and get so upset. I felt so depressed sometimes because he would never spend any time with me or the children.
I eventually decided to make new friends at the local women's centre and now I don't have enough hours in the day for all the hobbies I have acquired. I know it seems hard at first but there is no point in getting depressed over a husband who should know better.
