You can have tournaments all over the UK but nothing compares with Nelson's finest.
Twenty car horns blare out across the park when you hit a six and it's worse when you are bowled.
The KMI tournament held at Nelson playing fields wasn't the biggest Swinden playing fields had seen but was still competitive.
Watan battled through and met Oldham's Afghan A in the final. They scored 79 off their 6 overs. That proved too much for Afghan 'A' who could only manage 58.
Both Oldham sides had managed to reach the semi's and captain Sajid Khan was voted player of the tournament. Farakh Shezad won the man of the award for his performance in the final. It was Atif Qureshi though who set the tournament alight with an thunderous 108 in 40 balls. His opening partner made 7. Well, he didn't get the strike!
