A TEENAGER who bit a clubber on the jaw, causing a permanent scar, has been jailed for four months.
Matthew Wilkinson carried out the attack near Blackburn's Utopia nightclub, from where he had been ejected.
Earlier that night, he and his companions had been involved in an incident inside the club where he pushed someone to the floor.
Wilkinson, 19, of Thornhill Avenue, Rishton, pleaded guilty to charges of affray and unlawful wounding at Preston Crown Court.
Mr Richard Bennett, defending, said the teenager accepted having pushed someone in the nightclub who was then injured by others. Later, in the course of a fight, he bit Damien Barker.
He said earlier that night there had been apparent ridiculing of the defendant's younger brother and Wilkinson should have ignored it. Outside the club the wounding occurred during a fight, he said.
Mr Bennett added: "He feels genuine remorse and horror. He is thoroughly and genuinely ashamed".
