LEIGH comes out to party when the town hosts its annual carnival on Saturday and Sunday July 26 and 27.
Billed as "a Celebration of Leigh's Heritage", the carnival will be held at Bedford High School on Manchester Road.
Planned attractions include an "It's a Knockout" competition, fairground rides, displays, a canal rally, live music, history walks and morris dancing. Evening entertainment includes Tina Turner tribute band River Deep and soul group Junior Parker and the Houserockers.
