A WOMAN out walking was trapped for more than an hour after she fell into a stream and broke her leg.
The alarm was raised by a neighbour at 5am after hearing the shouts of help from Deborah Blair who had lost her way and fallen into the Cunningham Brook, near Westhoughton Golf Course.
Firefighters from Hindley and Atherton battled for over 20 minutes to reach the 37-year-old, of The Pungle, Westhoughton, who was also suffering from mild hypothermia.
She was taken by paramedics to Royal Bolton Hospital and treated for her injuries.
