LEIGH County Court has won a Charter Mark -- a public service accolade for its commitment to serving the town.
It is now one of 199 courts nationally to be rewarded for introducing improvements to the service which make the court more welcoming and less intimidating.
Court manager, Mr Matt Kingford, said: "The award is very customer orientated.
"The standard includes providing information, dealing with complaints and the fair and equal treatment of customers.
"It also embraces such things as speed of response at public counters and meeting targets."
