IT'S TIME to put your heart and soles into a major Blackpool fund-raising event with The British Heart Foundation and your community paper, The Blackpool Citizen.
We're asking our readers to join news editor Steve Dunthorne and reporter Nikki Masters from today in supporting the 2003 BHF sponsored walk in Blackpool, taking place on the Prom on September 7.
It's just eight weeks away -- and right now is a great time to sign up and get yourself sponsored for the 4.5 mile circular walk taking in Blackpool's three piers.
Every penny raised by you will benefit heart patients, paying for life-saving equipment for hospitals and ambulances, specially trained BHF nurses and heart health education for all.
Funds you raise will also help pay for crucial research into the causes, prevention and treatment of heart disease, currently the UK's biggest single killer.
The Three Piers Walk is a really easy and enjoyable way to raise money for a tremendously worthy cause. So join Nikki and Steve -- and thousands of other strollers in BHF walks across the country -- and help raise vital funds to fight heart disease.
Look out for Citizen special reports and coupons for you to fill out and register for BHF's Three Piers Walk.
Or log onto www.bhf.org.uk to find out more, e-mail: region7@bhf.org.uk or telephone BHF on 0151 236 6988.
You and The Citizen -- at the heart of fund-raising for BHF.
