A MAN videoed his illegal sex romp with a 14-year-old girl who he had met while working at Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
Shaun Brown, 35, met the schoolgirl because she regularly attended the Pleasure Beach where he worked as a ride operator.
Brown, of Gladstone Street, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to having unlawful intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.
Blackpool magistrates placed Brown on the Sex Offenders' Register, but magistrates said their powers were not sufficient and committed him on bail to Preston Crown Court for sentencing by a judge at a date to be fixed.
Prosecutor, Wendy Evans, told the court: "The girl was 14 and he met her because she used to go regularly to the Pleasure Beach.
"He viedoed them having sex. When interviewed, he admitted it was on video, although he said deep down he knew she was under age.
"The prosecution says an aggravating feature of this case is the disparity in their ages.
"It could also be argued that he was in a position of trust, working at the Pleasure Beach, which the girl regularly attended."
Peter Utley, defending, said the offence came to light when someone Brown lived with told Brown's employers what had taken place.
Brown immediately agreed to speak to police and admitted the offence.
Brown, who had no previous convictions, got to know the girl over the period of a year because she visited the fun park.
She asked him for his phone number and, stupidly, he gave it to her.
The defence added: "There was an act of intercourse. He knows it should not have taken place. He has now lost the job he held at the Pleasure Beach for 14 years, his good character and will be on the Sex Offender's Register."
