ROSEGROVE Action Group has been successful in an application to the Community Chest Fund.
A grant of £4,997 will enable the group to secure the rent for 12 months and decorate and carpet its shop.
In two weeks' it will be open for formal coffee mornings and asking for your ideas on what activities people would like.
ST Mark's Church thanks everyone who either helped or supported the summer fair, a lot of team work made the event a roaring success that resulted in a magnificent sum raised of £1,700.

LOWERHOUSE Bowling Club is holding an open day on Sunday, July 20, it is in conjunction with the Burnley Bowls Partnership to promote the sport. Everyone is invited they will be coached on how to bowl. It is a relaxing pastime for the young and old. The open day starts at noon and The Mayor and Mayoress will be in attendance.
