AN inquest has been opened into the death of an asylum seeker from Afghanistan.
Faizullah Ahmedi was found by a housemate in a house in Edmundson Street, off Johnston Street, Blackburn on Sunday, July 6.
Mr Ahmedi, 19, was last seen alive by Zhami Wahid on the evening of Friday, July 4, the inquest was told.
Mr Wahid then went to London.
On return he found Mr Ahmedi hanging in the house's loft, the inquest was told.
A postmortem examination and toxicology tests have been carried out on the body.
Mr Ahmedi was identified with the help of Mr Wahid and by his documents.
Coroner Michael Singleton adjourned the inquest for a full hearing in the Registrar's Office on October 28 at 2pm.
