A GROUP of four children from Barrowford dug out their unwanted toys and raised £71.08 for Hospice Care for Burnley and Pendle.
Katie, 11 and Emily Walker, nine, Tom Parkin, eight and Carl Jameson, 11, who live in Shap Close, held the stall at the end of their street and were assisted by their friends Elise Dole and Matthew Helps. Friends and neighbours boughtsupported them buying lots of the goods.
Hospice fundraising manager Kaye Bartle, said: "The first we knew about the children's wonderful gesture was when we received a lovely letter from Katie telling us how they had raised this great amount of money.
"It is wonderful to see children of this age supporting the work of the Hospice as well as using their time in a positive way to help others."
