AN all-star clash between some of TV's hottest stars and former footballing favourites will kick off next month.
The special fundraiser between the cast and crew from ITV's hit soap, Emmerdale and some of the Claret's former talent has been organised in a bid to drum up funds for the children's charity, NSPCC.
The one-off football tournament is to take place on Sunday, August 3, with the two teams meeting for the clash at Belvedere and Calderdale Sports Club, Holden Road, Reedley.
The Emmerdale All Stars will be led by Ben Freeman, alias Scott Windsor. Past Clarets favourites to take part in the event include Derek Scott and Vince Overson.
The tournament, which has been arranged by junior football club, Brierfield Celtic and the NSPCC's Burnley branch kicks off at 1.45pm.
Judith Haynes, of NSPCC Burnley said: "It will be a great day out for all the family to enjoy. People will get the chance to see of their favourite celebrities while enjoying the events of the day."
