POLICE have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses after five teenagers were knocked down by a stolen car in Foulridge last week.
The incident happened in Reedymoor Lane on Wednesday afternoon when the stolen Ford Fiesta hit the five youngsters.
Sarah Mclean, 15, of Brown Street West, is still in Burnley General Hospital waiting for a skin graft after she was run over by the car and suffered burns to her legs.
Katie Medway, 13, of Windybank, Colne, was treated at hospital for a broken leg, Christian Metcalfe, 14, of Greenfield Road, Colne, received treatment for a dislocated neck and Stacey Reid, 15, of Coates Avenue, Barnoldswick, suffered cuts and bruising.
Three people were arrested after the incident. One man has been released without charge and the other two local youths have been released on police bail while further inquiries are carried out.
Sgt Russell Gregory said: "We are keen to speak to any more witnesses who have not yet come forward."
