IT was with regret that I read that the leader of the County Council, Hazel Harding, says that the Lancashire rose logo is coming to the end of its life (LET, July 2).
Perhaps she no longer considers this symbol of pride to every Lancastrian worth their salt, is worth retaining in the civic decor.
Perhaps those of our ancestors who fought and died in the War of the Roses, would once again take up arms, if only verbally, to retain the Tudor Rose regardless of those who would have us believe that we can no longer display the fact we are still Lancastrians and proud to be so.
