CHILDREN in Pendle will be able to enjoy the fresh air while having a fun time at a selection of play schemes organised by Pendle Council this summer.
The parks department has organised 20 play schemes for children between the age of five and eight.
They will take place during the summer months and some of the attractions will include bug hunts, windmills, kite making, nature trails and earth walks.
All of the activities will be held from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.
They will take place on Monday at Victoria Park, Nelson, on Tuesday at Hodge House, Nelson, on Wednesday at Marsden Park, Nelson, on Thursday at Heyhead Park, Brierfield, and on Friday at Victory Park, Barnoldswick.
Karen Hutchinson, park ranger for Pendle Council said: "During the scheme we will be taking a collage around with us to display at the Barlick Bugs Festival which all participants at the play schemes will be able to contribute to."
Park Ranger, David Procter will be joining Karen Hutchinson to help run the schemes but they ask that each child be accompanied by their parent or guardian. For more information contact Karen Hutchinson or David Procter on 01282 661600.
