A MAN'S temper cost him his home after he took out his frustrations over a row with his girlfriend on a door at his flat, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard that John Leonard also kicked in the door at his girlfriend's home when they argued while attending the Arts in the Park event in Blackburn on Saturday.
Leonard, 19, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal damage. He was ordered to pay £300 compensation to North British Housing.
John Wood said staff at Leonard's former address in Preston New Road discovered the damage when Leonard asked them to let him in because he had lost his keys.
His girlfriend reported that he had kicked the door at her flat when she would not let him in.
Richard Prew, defending, said the couple had been drinking during the event at Corporation Park and they had been rowing for most of the day.
