GRAEME Souness has revealed he wants to add Dino Baggio to his squad before Monday's transfer deadline but he will have to let a player go out on loan to free up the cash in his budget.

"I would like to have Dino Baggio. He's impressed us in training. Financially speaking, we can't do anything on that but I would like to take him.

"There's an outside chance of one of our players going out on loan and if that happened that would free up some cash to take Dino on.

"We are short of numbers and I would still like another body in."

Souness has ruled out a move for Russian international Andrei Karayaka, who has impressed during a trial at Brockhall this week.

Karayaka scored in a behind-closed-doors reserve game with West Brom in midweek but work permit problems have blocked any deal for the winger, who plays for Russian minnows Krylya Sovetov.
