CHILDREN in Padiham will light up the town with their homemade lanterns during a procession through the town on Saturday, September 27.
Local people will parade to the Memorial Park, where there will be firework display.
Pupils from schools including St Leonard's Primary, Padiham County Primary, Hapton C of E and Methodist School, St John the Baptist, and Ivy Bank are taking part in lantern-making workshops.
A series of community workshops will also be taking place at Padiham Youth Centre, on Thursday, September 18, 7.30pm-9.30pm, for children aged 13 and over and on Monday, September 22, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, for 11 to 12-year-olds, and at Hapton Methodist Church, on Tuesday, September 23, 7pm to 9.30pm for all age groups.
Paula Smith, Padiham Life project manager, is still looking for local bands who would like to play at the event.
