FRANK Crompton (Letters, September 3) is incorrect in stating that houses in Queen's Park, Blackburn have already been improved by block grants. They have not.
Unlike the 200 people attending the public consultation meetings in Darwen, Mr Crompton is obviously unaware that hundreds of terrace houses will undergo group action in our town.
Rather than Darwen "coming second" the town is, in fact, included in the first wave of the Housing Market Renewal programme.
Councillor DAVE SMITH (Sunnyhurst Ward), Woodbank Avenue, Darwen.
