DEFINING moments in world history are on show at Leigh's Turnpike Gallery with photo memories from the French twin town of Angers.
For the past 17 years the borough has hosted an exhibition of photography from Angers, but this year's is extra special with 100 prize winning pictures by photo journalists who have been taking part in the exhibition since 1986.
Images include world changing events including the fall of the Berlin Wall to famine in Somalia and the Sudan, from the Olympic Games to scientific discoveries.
The exhibition has previously travelled to Bejing, Portugal and Germany. Until October 18 it's at the Turnpike.
