NEWLY-WEDS Carolynne and Mark Parkinson took the plunge with a dream wedding in Barbados.
The Lowton couple tied the knot in a beautiful hotel ceremony on the Caribbean island then donned their wetsuits to experience their other love -- scuba diving.
Thirty eight year old Carolynne and Mark, 29, dived in Carlisle Bay, swimming with the turtles, crabs and starfish as they explored five ship wrecks on the bed of the Caribbean.
Carolynne told the Journal: "We both love snorkelling and deep sea diving so we thought we would take advantage of the wonderful location. Mark said it was like taking the plunge twice!
"The wedding ceremony was just beautiful. We had a female minister who married us and she was just wonderful. There was a calypso band playing as we walked up the aisle and everybody watching from the hotel cheered after we had got married.
"The local people were really lovely, they couldn't have been any more welcoming."
The returned to Lowton after a two week honeymoon and have since had their wedding blessed at a special service at Christ Church in Pennington which was attended by family and friends.
Carolynne said: "Our wedding was one big party from start to finish. We've got so many beautiful presents, photographs and memories."
