RETIRED restaurateur Harry Wright has died aged 80.
Mr Wright, of Elmridge, Leigh, opened Atherton Steak House in the early 1960s, converting Market Street premises he had used in the electrical and photographic trades after setting-up in business following demob from the Royal Air Force. He ran the successful restaurant, with the help of daughters Susan and Jennifer, until he sold it on his retirement in the late 1980s.
Great-grandfather Mr Wright leaves a wife, Minnie.
The funeral was on Tuesday at Leigh Cemetery.
