FORTY-FIVE new homes are set to be built in Leigh after planning chiefs gave the proposals the green light.
Redrow Homes had applied to build the homes, which include two storey apartments, along with a new access road and parking facilities on land off Holden Road.
They had proposed to demolish the existing commercial buildings and offices and replace them with the homes.
There had been six letters from local residents who were concerned about the access proposals onto Holden Road, the impact of three storey apartments, the loss of privacy and light, increased traffic, loss of trees and loss of value to their properties.
But planners gave the go ahead provided open space and play equipment within the housing development.
