A CHARITY that speaks up for shy people is appealing for new team members.
Leigh-based Add A Voice is looking to boost its management committee, particularly seeking those with marketing or fund-raising experience.
The independent advocacy service will welcome volunteers to its annual meeting which begins at 5pm on October 2 at Add A Voice in Church Street.
Manager Lucy Whiting said committee members, aged over 18, are an essential part of the organisation.
Offers support
Financed by the Community Fund the charity offers support to over 18s who feels they need someone to speak up for them or need help to express themselves.
Advocates have helped people attend meeting, write letters, find suitable accommodation and access information about financial budgeting.
Lucy said: "We have had a busy and exciting year. We provide an essential service and are keen to involve our community in running the group."
Anyone interested in offering their services is asked to contact Lucy on 01942 601563.
