A PLEASINGTON husband and wife team have invaded their White Rose county rivals to bring a trophy back home to Lancashire.
Hilda and Frank Wrigley will now be heaidng considerably further afield to Africa after winning the took South Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire regional final of the Bader Cup with a stableford score of 46 points.
Hilda and Frank decided to play at Forest Pines in Lincolnshire due to the Lancashire regional being held at a date they could not attend.
Frank, an eight handicap player, and Hilda, who plays off 34 but had to play off 30 due to the rules of the tournament, will now go on to the national final, which is to be hosted at Palmeraie Golf Palace in Marrakech, Morocco, during the week commencing Sunday, October 12.
