ACCRINGTON Stanley are continuing their search for a striker.
Reds boss John Coleman was last week believed to be interested in a Third Division front man but, as yet, no-one has put pen to paper on a deal at the Interlink Express Stadium.
Experienced striker John Durnin and Darren Connell were brought in over the summer, added to Brian Welch, who returned to Stanley towards the end of last season, to provide cover for hotshots Paul Mullin and Lutel James.
However, chairman Eric Whalley said the club was still on the lookout for new faces.
"There isn't really a problem in terms of competition for places at the moment," he said.
"But there would be no harm in bringing someone in to put a bit more pressure on the forwards.
"We haven't signed anyone as yet but John is trying to bring someone in."
