THE two and a half hour long "Test the Nation" on general knowledge on Saturday TV should have been entitled Test the Nation's Patience.
It was 25 minutes before the first of 70 questions was asked. Like many of you quiz fiends no doubt I persevered with all the unnecessary banter and twaddle to answer the questions, but then took the easy way out for the later hour-long answer section of the show.
I taped it and whizzed through to discover that my quiz quotient of 141 was in the top one per cent of the nation.
I can't believe that, the questions were hardly of the University Challenge or earlier Mastermind calibre.
I don't now which show was more irritating that or Millionaire which regularly makes my blood boil.
