FOUR courses for people who want to learn for fun are being run by The Worker's Educational Association in Colne.
Held at Nelson and Colne College in Reedyford, the course include 'Milestone in Art History' which asks how some works of art become highly regarded when others, that seem to be just as appealing, are almost ignored.
This runs for 10 weeks from Tuesday, September 30, from 7pm to 9pm.
And on Wednesday October 1, a course starts called 'Famous Victorians' which looks at the lives of Gladstone, Darwin, Brunel and their contemporaries.
After Christmas there are two more courses intitled 'Principles and Practice in Gardening' and 'Pompei'.
The courses are run in accordance with WEA ideals where participants are encouraged to learn in a friendly and co-operative atmosphere.
