A COUNCIL gardener found with five-and-a-half ecstasy tablets had them for his own use, a court was told.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Jason Anthony Metcalfe, 21, kept the drugs on top of a wardrobe at his home.
Metcalfe, of Victoria Road, Earby, admitted possessing MDMA and was fined £50, with £65 costs. He had one previous conviction for possessing cannabis.
Peter Wild, prosecuting, told the court that police raided the defendant's home at 6.30am after getting a search warrant.
He was asked if he had any drugs and handed over the tablets from on top of the wardrobe.
