THE prospect of blazing an export trail to Sweden came under the spotlight at a special event in Bury.
As part of its support to local firms, Business Link North Manchester held its latest buyer-finding presentation at the Village Hotel in Bury.
The free event, which included breakfast, demonstrated how, in conjunction with Trade Partners UK's commercial team in Sweden, Business Link North Manchester could be doing all the leg work in finding and warming Swedish buyers for their products.
Delegates were also briefed as to how this could get them out in front of these buyers to develop their sales.
Roger Leeson, international trade adviser at Business Link North Manchester, said: "Sweden holds many attractions for local companies. Not only do the Swedes have high disposable income, a willingness to negotiate in English and an honest and direct approach to business, they also have the important habit of paying on time.
"It's an ideal place for many companies with such products to take their first tentative steps in international sales."
