VINTAGE vehicles cranked into gear to make a beeline for Radcliffe as the town hosted a classic car show and craft fair on Saturday (Sept 6).
More than 800 people passed the doors of the town's civic hall where the event, organised by Radcliffe Traders' Association, was held.
Inside the hall was a craft and psychic fair, with stalls offering jewellery, toys, puzzles and assorted gifts.
Among the items for sale were knitted dolls, oil burners, hand-made soaps, preserves and Chinese craft goods.
Face painting provided fun for the youngsters, while a balloon sculpture artist toured the town centre to show off his skills.
Alongside the older vehicles on display in the car park was an exhibition of Land Rovers, with regular patrols by police including Victorian peelers.
Pictured with his classic car exhibit, a 1946 Vauxhall J Type has has owned for 17 years, is Jim Northcott.
A free security marking service for mobile phones and other items of value was on offer at the crime-prevention trailer, while mounted police and a fire engine also paid a visit.
Organised with the backing of Bury Council, the fair was aimed at promoting what the town has to offer.
Regeneration officer Heather Clark said: "We had some really positive comments from visitors and stallholders who asked if it was something that we could make an annual event."
