A PETITION objecting to a proposed activity centre on Cranberry Moor, Darwen, has been sent to Blackburn with Darwen Council.
More than 70 neighbours on either side of Moss Side Farm are calling for the council to refuse permission for a centre.
Homeowners believe the development would drastically reduce their quality of life and bring too many people into the peaceful countryside.
Farm owners Elaine Marsden and Duncan Bell insist they want to bring something unique to the area and have no intention of upsetting neighbours.
The scheme, if granted, would feature horse riding and quad bike activities, but would mean 70,000 extra car journeys on single-lane Cranberry Lane each year.
The matter is expected to be brought before the council's planning committee in October.
