A DARWEN charity fund-raiser will stage a 12-mile walk from Ewood Park, Blackburn, to Derian House children's hospice in October.
Ray Heeks, owner of Darwen Kung Fu School, wants people across the county to come together in order to raise funds for the hospice.
Ray's one-year-old daughter, Eva, received respite care at the hospice after she was born with a rare form of meningitis.
The walk will take place on Saturday, October 4, at 9.30am, and Blackburn Rovers staff have agreed to open the stadium cafe.
Ray, who lives on Blackamoor Road in Guide, said: "We want everyone to get involved, adults and children. Children must be accompanied by adults and I'm sure everyone will have a really good time.
"We have ten people committed so far but we're looking to get hundreds and we want to raise as much money as possible." Ray can be contacted on 01254 583767.
