AMBULANCE crews in East Lancashire were presented with a medal to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The medals were originally intended for those in military service but the cabinet office extended the criteria to include members of the emergency services. At ceremonies at Blackburn and Accrington ambulance stations, staff were presented with their medals, struck by the Royal Mint, by Lancashire Ambulance Service NHS Trust's director of AE, Steve Watts.
All recipients have been in paid, frontline emergency duties and completed five years of service on the qualifying date of February 6, 2002.
