I WAS interested to read (LET, September 9) about Dorothy Entwistle, of Rishton, having trouble getting her bin emptied.
I can sympathise with her for not getting the bin emptied from Monday until the Friday, but on the recent Bank Holiday Monday we were the only ones on our road not to have our bin emptied.
I phoned on the Tuesday then Wednesday and Thursday and was promised each time it would be sorted. It wasn't until the normal collection the Monday after.
Everywhere we go in pretty much any area in Blackburn over the past few months we see rats.
Is it any wonder? Blackburn Council are more concerned with saving themselves any extra work and obviously don't care about the hygiene aspect in the town. It's disgusting.
