NEW magistrates are to be appointed to serve on the Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale bench.
They are James Nicholas Barlow, 32, of Grane Road, Haslingden, John Michael Davey, 57, of Grane Park, Haslingden, Irene Mary Divine, 51, of Chatburn Close, Rawtenstall, Susan Jane Rushton, 46, of Glenborough Avenue, Bacup, all Rossendale.
From Burnley the new justices are Lesley Anne Lister, 53, of Eastern Avenue, Mohammed Sher Ali Miah, 42, of Belford Street and Jack Paley, 54, of Clover Crescent.
Pendle representatives are Melva Burton, 52, of New Row, Trawden and John Colin McMahon, 55, of Kelswick Drive, Nelson. Susan Houlker, 52, of Mearley Syke, Clitheroe, will also be appointed.
