A COMMUNITY centre in Bacup is being redeveloped to provide better facilities for young people.
The Sunnycrest building, in Hawthorn Road, already has a new DJ studio, called Area 51, and eight young people have passed the DJ induction course.
Work is now being done on the ground floor to provide young people with a safe and friendly environment to meet and socialise.
An informal Thursday afternoon social is also held in the day section of the building. Anyone is invited to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat, or to use the internet.
As part of the redevelopment of the building, the car park at Spurgeon's Family Centre has been resurfaced.
