A MOTHER and daughter business venture is aiming to bring sunshine into the lives of people living in Stacksteads.
When Angela Collier decided to open up shop in Newchurch Road she chose to call it after her only daughter -- Gemma's.
Angela, who is a qualified beauty therapist, is hoping her first sunbed business venture will lead to bigger and better things for Stacksteads.
She said: "I've lived round here all my life and wanted to put something back into the community.
"We are proud of the shop, a lot of hard work has gone into it so I hope it does the place proud and encourages people to come to Stacksteads."
Gemma, 15, who attends Fearns High School, Bacup, said: "I was embarrassed at first when my mum told me what she was going to call it but now I feel proud that it is my name outside the shop."
