A SCHOOL has received £15,000 towards its building project from a national organisation which supports church schools.
St Wilfrid's CE School and Technology College, Blackburn, which has 1,500 pupils and is one of the largest comprehensives in Lancashire, is the subject of a £12million rebuild.
Several attempts to relocate have failed, but now the massive building programme has started around the school's Byrom Street site.
The new school is expected to be open in time for the start of the new academic year in 2004 and the latest cash was donated by the Woodard Corporation.
