RAWTENSTALL is revving up for a spectacular bike show that will see the town transformed into a dream destination for motorcyclists.
The 11th annual Rossendale Valley Motorbike Show will include the X-treme Trials Display Team which promises a stunning show of bike stunts.
Team members Martin Crosswaite and Dan Clark, two of Europe's top trials riders, will wow the crowds when the display team takes over the Daisy Hill car park.
Their show involves 12ft jumps up vertical walls, a full range of freestyle tricks, wheelies and much more.
And their antics will be matched on the road with a further stunt display team which will be burning rubber on Bocholt Way.
Meanwhile the town's Asda store will again be banning four wheels from its car park to make way for the popular two-wheeled mini moto competition.
Trade stands from all over the country have booked their spot at the event this Sunday which last year attracted more than 50,000 people and this year is expected to attract even more.
Event chairman Tony Winder, said: "We were excited about our 10th show last year, which raised £20,000 for charity but this year's event is going to be even better. The ever-popular tattoo convention has a new home this year inside St Mary's Chambers"
This year the show has encouraged youth to get involved by getting school children to design T-shirts and winning designs will be on sale to the public.
The show is looking to become a household name across the water by sending information to bike clubs from France, Germany, Holland and all over Europe. Ride-ins start the event and for information on start points log on to www.rossendale-bikeshow.co.uk.
