WHEN it came to his big wedding day, one bridegroom-to-be dug deep to do things a little differently.
Paul White turned up to his wedding service, along with his two best men, in the JCB he drives as a landscape gardener!
Guests at the service at St James Church Over Darwen were shocked when Paul, younger brother Stephen, 22, and friend Michael Bolton chugged up to the gates in the giant earthmover.
Paul, 25, who works for 20th Century Landscapes based at Guide, Blackburn, said: "I just wanted to do things a bit differently for the big day. I've driven a JCB for years and I thought it would be more apt to turn up in that and make a bit of an entrance."
Paul and bride Donna McNally, 20, met at the Engineers in Darwen about two years ago and have been together ever since.
Donna said: "I think he's a bit mad but I didn't mind about the JCB at all."
She preferred to do things a little more traditionally, though, and turned up to the church in a silver Rolls-Royce.
