A STORMING second half performance by Nelson saw them deservedly take all three points from second placed Ashton Town in the NWCL Division Two.
The Blues had looked second best to a lively Ashton, who punished them with a Mark O'Connor strike after only two minutes and doubled their lead through Phil Holland on 22 minutes.
However, Nelson were transformed after the interval and pulled a goal back when Craig Bradshaw met Kevin Richardson's cross to send a looping header over the home keeper on 50 minutes.
On 80 minutes, home keeper Andy Simms could only block Shaun Berry's shot with his body and Bradshaw blasted in the rebound to level the scores at 2-2.
Kevin Richardson then sent Paul Fildes racing through and he rounded the keeper before slotting home the winner.
