CLARETS skipper Graham Branch is looking forward to giving Gareth Taylor the debut from hell!

Branch has already been on the phone to his former team-mate in the build up to tonight's Turf Moor reunion.

Taylor seems certain of a warm welcome from the Burnley players he was playing alongside in pre-season before sustaining a serious eye injury against Leeds.

And although the Forest frontman has delighted everyone at Turf Moor by making a full recovery, Taylor has been told to forget about an old-pals act tonight!

Branch said: "I've spoken to Gareth and wished him all the best. I'm made up for him because eye injuries can be dodgy, but he has recovered and got as really good move.

"Rightly so because he's a nice lad And it was a bit sad that he had to go because we need as many good players as we can.

"But circumstances have dictated that he's gone and it will be good to play against him and hopefully come out on top."

Branch, whose switch to left midfield means he will avoid a direct confrontation with the Welshman, reckons Andy Todd and David May are in for a right old ding-dong.

He added: "Gareth will be a handful against anyone in this league. He's a big, strong lad who is good in the air and has a good touch.

"That's the reason why Nottingham Forest paid that money for him in today's market!"
