ANDY Todd is doubly determined to prove his worth on his Burnley bow.

The on-loan Blackburn defender is aware his mistake at Norwich on Saturday cost the Clarets a share of the spoils.

And Todd, who makes his home debut against Nottingham Forest tonight, is desperate to wipe out the disappointment and help earn Stan Ternent's side earn back-to-back home wins - with Bradford following the Reds to Turf Moor in four days time.

Todd said: "It was a poor result at Norwich and obviously it was a little hiccup by myself that cost us the first goal and left us chasing the game.

"These things happen in football, but no-one likes losing and if you make a little mistake that costs you, it's worse.

"If you keep a clean sheet, you go on to get something, but unfortunately we didn't. Now we have to bounce back straight away and with two home games we have to be looking to take maximum points."

Incredibly Todd, who celebrates his 29th birthday on Sunday, has never set foot on Turf Moor in his long and varied career.

The former Middlesbrough, Bolton and Charlton stopper has also had loan spells at Swindon and Grimsby, but has yet to grace Burnley's hallowed turf.

Todd added: "I'm looking forward to playing at Turf Moor. I've never played there, but I've trained on it and it's a nice big pitch and should be a good atmosphere."

The general atmosphere surrounding Todd's arrival has largely been positive.

Despite his Blackburn connections, he was given a rapturous welcome by Burnley fans at Stoke on his debut 10 days ago.

And the transfer-listed Rovers defender is looking forward to finally stepping out in front of home fans who may have been shifting uneasily in their seats when he first made the short switch up the M65.

He said: "I have heard a few people saying 'Oh God, he's come from Blackburn', but the fans have been fine.

"They all realise I'm here to do the best I can for Burnley and if I give 110 per cent they can have no complaints."

Clarets boss Stan Ternent will make a late decision on the fitness of right back Dean West, who injured his back at Norwich and was replaced by Lee Roche at half time.

Striker Ian Moore is also pushing for a recall in attack after adding a cutting edge to the Clarets attack as they sought late salvation at Carrow Road.

Meanwhile, Burnley's away game to Wimbledon in just 12 days time has now reached farcical proportions, with a decision still to be taken on the venue for the game.

The Dons' are hoping to host their first game at Milton Keynes against the Clarets after their much-publicised relocation.

However, a Football League delegation will not now visit the National Hockey Stadium until tomorrow to decide if the venue is ready to stage football.
