SHAUNA Murtagh is heading East to trek along the Great Wall of China to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Fund.
And Blackburn Rovers have given her fund a boost by donating a signed shirt which Shauna recently auctioned off for £250.
Shauna, of Intack, is taking on the sponsored walk next month to celebrate her 24th birthday.
She said: "This is going to be an adventure -- the Wall will be amazing. I am proud to be involved with the Challenge because raising funds for research is the only way we will find new ways to fight cancer.
"I am hoping to raise over £3,000 myself and I am so grateful to all those who have helped in any way."
The shirt was bought by Ian Reed, managing director of Promedics Ltd, Blackburn, for his son Archie, nine.
Archie said: "I think the shirt's fantastic. I can't wait to show everyone at school."
