A PSYCHIATRIC patient with relatives in Blackpool has gone missing from a hospital in West Yorkshire.

Police are advising the public not to approach 25-year-old Rhett Walker, but to telephone them.

Mr Walker, a patient at the Yorkshire Centre for Forensic Psychiatry, was reported missing from the grounds of Field Head Hospital, Wakefield, at 10am yesterday (Tuesday, September 16).

Police have described him as white, 5ft 11ins tall, of stocky build, clean shaven with short brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing dark trousers, a pale blue fleece and a red baseball cap.

He is originally from Australia and speaks with what's described as 'an Australian British accent'.

A Lancashire Police spokeswoman said: "Police are concerned for his wellbeing and safety.

"He is considered vulnerable due to having a history of mental health problems including violence and these require medication and treatment."

She advised anyone who recognises Mr Walker not to speak to him directly but to telephone West Yorkshire Police on 01924 293393.
