THE Parish Councillors have enjoyed completing the Audit Commission's survey of views from Town and Parish Councils.
This survey is part of the Corporate Performance Assessment being undertaken by the Audit Commission on the Borough Council.
At the end of the process the borough council's performance will be rated on a scale from failing to excellent.
COUN Brenda Lambert has suggested that two new notice boards are needed for the parish, one for Pike Hill and the other for the village. The Parish Clerk is to obtain costings.
THE overgrown bushes between the hairdressers and the telephone box on Brownside Road are on the list to be attended to -- progress may be slowas there is a backlog of work.
WORSTHORNE School will exhibit some of the children's artwork at Pendle Heritage Centre from September 27, along with seven other schools of a similar size and character. Everyone is welcome.
THE Parish Clerk is to write to the new owners of the overgrown trees on Water Street pointing out that they are causing a nuisance to their neighbours. She will give the new owners a little time to settle in before drawing their attention to the problem.
