LUKE Chadwick wants Burnley to pick off their next three victims by shooting on sight.

Chadwick has been left frustrated by the Clarets firing blanks in their last two games, including last night's 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

And the on-loan Manchester United reckons the Clarets need to set their sights and pull the trigger instead of waiting to see the whites of opposing keeper's eyes.

"I think we need to shoot on sight a little bit more because we are clearly not scoring enough goals," insisted Chadwick.

"We are getting up there and creating chances by getting the ball across goal, but we have to have more shots and an end product, or we are not going to win games.

"We have played some nice football again against Forest, who are a good team. But again we didn't have the cutting edge and lost the game 3-0, so it's disappointing.

"Now we have Bradford, Wimbledon and Watford to come in the next three league games and hopefully we can get the cutting edge back to win all three."

Chadwick, 22, describes Saturday's visit to Turf Moor of Bradford as a "must-win" game to get Burnley's season back on track.

Forest's flattering 3-0 victory was the third time in four attempts a visiting First Division side has breached fortress Turf Moor this season.

Only Crewe have been sent packing, courtesy of Richard Chaplow's first senior goal.

But Chadwick, who has played in every game so far this season, believes goal-den times lay right around the corner now that many of the league's top teams have come and gone.

He added: "We have to get going against Bradford on Saturday because that is really a must-win game.

"We have to be beating the teams who will maybe be down there, or in mid-table come the end of the season.

"We have already been beaten by Wigan and West Brom and they are the top two at the moment.

"Nottingham Forest will be up there, as will Norwich, so there are clearly a lot of games to come against so-called lesser side that we need to be winning."
